| It’s great to see our website team making wonderful strides towards making us a fully "cyber" school! It gives parents and students alike the opportunity to be in tune with the happenings in our school. I would take this chance to congratulate everyone who has played an active role in making this happen. | |
| Level 3 students (and parents too!), you are on the last leg of your high school education and the next move is yours. After all those years of someone else setting the schedule for you, YOU are in charge for next years plans. Make sure you have taken time to talk over options with the important people in your life, whether it be parents, friends or teachers. My office has piles of information available to you so don’t be shy - pop by and borrow the materials you need for a day or two and have a chat with me about what makes sense for you. Decisions about your future are tough but it should be an exciting time of your life. There is still time to get in your applications for most institutions so get to it! | |
| Throughout this school year, the school has been making efforts to help our young people recognize the hazards of drug and alcohol use. We have formed a Special Interest Group for Youth which has brought together members of our community from various focuses to discuss initiatives to engage our youth in positive activities. This committee is one step toward a proactive approach to ensuring Pasadena is a community which provides a nurturing environment for the youth AND, perhaps more importantly, a community which listens to our youth. If you are interested in knowing more about our efforts, please feel free to contact me. | |
| As the Easter break approaches, we are looking at having one of Canada’s top motivational speakers visit our school. If all goes well, Mike Bonicci may be bringing his message of respect and positive spirit to our students AND our parents! With the help of Academy Canada and the Pasadena Ministerial Association, Mike will bring his excitement and humour to our students on Tuesday, April 11th and be available for a one hour presentation for parents and community members in the evening. As more information becomes available, it will be posted. | |
| Parents should feel free to contact me at any time. Take care. | |
